In Experience

A luxe vacay to Greece has made it onto many bucket lists. For our Elizabeth Allen, she recently got to check it off!

Elizabeth and her husband, Brad, traveled to this heavenly destination initially for a fashion rep’s wedding; however, they made the most of their trip and explored the wonder and beauty that this highly-discussed location encompasses on their own as well.

Rethymno in Crete was their initial arrival spot.  It’s one of the best and most preserved medieval towns in Greece and is packed with a myriad of historical buildings and breathtaking examples of architecture.

Following their red carpet arrival, the couple then ventured off to Santorini, a location not just unique to Greece BUT to the entire world.  It is known for its views of red and brown volcanic ash that make up its infamous clifftops. From luxury boutique hotels to personable, quaint restaurants, everything is nestled ever-so-perfectly within the elevation.  The Allens got to sail close to the caldera cliffs cruising between Oil, Imerovigli, Fira, and the Volcano.  From stopping in the hot springs to sipping on local Santorini-made wine, this trek of the trip was truly unforgettable.

Canavas Oie Suites is noted to “charm even the most challenging guests” and was the location the Allens chose to reside during their stay.  From the luxury resort’s impeccable service to its private pool suites, the setting is one that absorbs Santorini’s perfect beauty and picture-perfect sunsets.

Mykonos was the next spot on the agenda.  From its sandy-white beaches to its bustling nightlife, this locale is a spot made for lucky travelers and locals, alike.  From dining at Remezzo, a famed restaurant option, to a private motorboat about the seas, this stop was a highlight.

Taking in ALL that Mykonos has to offer was achieved with some off-site exploration.  Visiting the surrounding beaches (think about the famed destinations like Psarou, Platis Gialos, and Paranga) capped off this location before a brief helicopter transfer to Athens.

If Greece is not on your “it” list, perhaps it should be.  For now…..we can live vicariously through our E until we can get their, ourselves!
