In Experience

May is here! While we certainly don’t know how this time of year has arrived, we are beyond ready for it. While grad parties, weddings, and a myriad of other happenings are likely filling up your calendar, hopefully you are able to getaway this month before the summer stride fully sets it.

As always, our buyers are a step ahead of you. In the fall of 2022, they were already at market and having line viewings to determine what to have in store for you specifically for this purpose. While we all want to look good wherever we are going, versatility is a key element of fashion-forward packing.

If you are heading off to a tropical destination, we are ready for you. Gauze pieces are always popular this time of year. Brands such as Farm Rio and Devotion Twins have honed in on the breathability factor gauze gives. From bright and bold smocked options to oversized maxis, dresses that can go from day to night and evoke a playful vibe are perfect to pack.  Cut out detailing is another trend to snatch up pre-vacay.  From Drew’s subtle sides to more pronounced geometric detailing, showing a bit more skin after a day in the sun makes this trend special and appropriate to take with you.

With Memorial Day around the corner, lake days might be on the brain as well.  From patriotic sweaters to bold red dressing, our recent arrivals will have you patriotic in no time.  Terry cloth is super on trend this season and we are loving this material used in sets just as much as comfy dresses.  After a day in the sun, these options are solid ones….and look DANG good on a boat ride.

Accessories round out our packing list, and they are out in full force in stores and online.  From Lack of Color hats to protect your skin to Lele headbands that keep your hair away from your sun kissed face, adding some extras can make a big fashion statement wherever you are headed.

All in all….e.Allen needs to be added to your shopping list pre-trip. Wherever you are headed in May, take a little “e” with you!
