New York City never disappoints when it comes to fashion. The hustle and bustle of the city provide the perfect backdrop and produce the needed energy and excitement for all the up and coming trends and wardrobe musts. Our buyers recent trip to the city that never sleeps yielded a trip filled with quite possibly the freshest fashion they have seen in some time.
While e.Allen is currently stocked for all-things-fall, spring 2024 is already on our buyers’ minds in a BIG way. The following are some key touchpoint on what the forecast is looking like when the new year rolls around. Believe it or not, it will be here before you know it.
COLOR: Rainbow sherbet comes to mind when thinking about the colors that will be prevalent next season. Green, think mainly hues rich in mint and celery tones, was everywhere. These variations look fabulous paired with tan handbags or shoes, and gold truly pops against the color palette as well. Raspberry and apricot + tangerine were also popular and consistent throughout many brands at market. All of these will provide a fun breakaway from the earthier hues that fall and winter are leaning towards. Last, but certainly not least, Elizabeth and Megan saw pops of dusty blues in certain showrooms. With blue often leading as a color-fave amongst our customers, we know these garments will be quick to go come next season!
WESTERN: This up and coming style continues into 2024 with ease….and gets some added oomph! From cropped button ups to touches of distressed denim, we are loving some of the new twists the western feel takes for spring. While cream denim and skirting options carry over from fall 2023, new trends and a HUGE push for denim have us super-excited. Our buyers even spotted some denim shoes worth adding into the mix!
TEXTURES + FABRIC: Crochet and broderie anglaise provided a light and airy feel in garments. Cut-outs are a fun welcome to the warmer temps and provide intricate elements to an overall look. Poplin, an annual spring must, remains a seasonal staple while corset-style bodices popped up across the board.
CLASSIC PREP: Touches of boucle on garments and accessories gave off a preppy vibe for spring 2023. From Chanel inspired gold buttons on cardigans and dresses to updated ballet flats to oversized studs (think freshwater pearl options), we are here for the classic “Clueless” feels and are loving these feminine details for many wardrobe musts. Crisp suiting and vest round out this category and will have you looking completely pristine and put together!
PATTERN PLAY: Bold patterns and bright color sequencing will add some fun to your closet next spring. Zimmermann has provided some MAJOR inspo for designers that we carry, and Megan and Elizabeth honed in on how they can bring elements of this high end brand into our stores at a respectable price point.
SHOE GAME : Get ready for shoes that were made for walking AND showing off. Varieties of heights and textures were spotted during our buyers’ week in NYC. From raffia to metallics to sneakers in a wide-array of color options, great footwear will anchor an outfit and elevate it simultaneously come spring 2024!
