The Met Gala always brings fashion to the forefront. Each year, our crew discusses the highly-anticipated attendees on the front end….and can’t wait for follow up discussion of the details in the aftermath.
This year’s dress code for the event was “The Garden of Time,” based upon the 2024 Costume Institute’s exhibit, Sleeping Beauties: Reawakening Fashion. The bold theme certainly was upheld. Hosted by Vogue’s Anna Wintour, this year’s event was co-chaired by Bad Bunny, Zendaya, Jennifer Lopez and Chris Hemsworth. It was an evening full of elevated style and perfected complete looks as original to the attendee that wore them. At HQ, we believe it is pretty safe to say this year’s Met Gala was not one to be missed….at least for fashion that is.
To narrow down our favorites lists is a daunting task; however, the following were fashion hits deserving of a little extra applause:
Jennifer Lopez//Tulle….pearls….rhinestones….you name it, and Jennifer Lopez’ incredible gown had it. Her haute couture gown was one for the record books.
Gigi Hadid//Thom Browne nailed Hadid’s look which was completed with a coordinated, carried bouquet. She looked like a floral vision in her off-the-shoulder column gown adorned with yellow roses and black petals.
Kendall Jenner//Vintage Givenchy was the ticket to Jenner’s iconic look for this year’s Met Gala. Her dress was constructed of nude and black tulle and was covered with more than 100,000 black and brass beads and sequins.
Nicole Kidman//Balenciaga knows a good look when they see one. Kidman’s recreation of a classic was the perfect replication with an updated twist. Adorned with over the elbow gloves and dripping in diamonds, her complete look will be esteemed for years to come.
Jessica Biel//Coral was a perfect welcomed color on Biel’s athletic frame. Her petal-adorned look was the epitome of spring and of this year’s Garden of Time theme.
Elle Fanning//Balmain made Fanning look like the princess she is for this year’s gala. The transparent nature of the dress combined with Cartier diamonds embodied this evening’s feel and ambiance perfectly.
