In keeping with that foundation, experimenting with color is certainly something we like to dabble in as well. Thankfully, monotoned neutrals are everywhere, per usual. With them serving as a base, buyers and stylists are letting Starbucks take the lead and are integrating a dash of pumpkin spice into their lines as well as into their to-go cups. This happy hue is toned down a notch from it’s summery, tangerine counterpart. Just as customers get giddy with excitement when pumpkin spice lattes and their aroma start popping up, we are getting anxious to see how are clients integrate this color into their fall wardrobes in their own, personalized way.
While French Connection sprinkled orange into their fall line up last year, most lines followed suit and popped it into their own line sheets for fall 2020. Paired with a pair of Mother denim and ankle booties, these toppers are just perfection for the season of change we are embarking upon.
Our current must-have is the Kelly Blazer in butterscotch by Nation LTD. Blazers are always an annual fave this time of year due to their versatility and flattering fit. While the slightest bit pricey, this purchase will stick with you (and your closet) for years to come. It’s pumpkin-infused palette would pair perfectly with a grey turtleneck (either mock or sleeved) and our faux leather shorts for a fall evening out on the town. If that is pushing the enveloped for your fashionable sense of self, you will have zero hesitancy toning this topper down with a band tee and some Show Me Your Mumu flares or J Brand skinnies.
The season that is upon us truly differs from the typical autumns of the past. Everything we do, be it what we do or what we wear, entails much more thought and deliberation. We have had fashion taken away from us and the ability to go and do stripped away; therefore, dressing in a warm color that gives us a sense of comfort and makes us feel cozy is worth every penny. Having a radiating orange tone lead the way in the color department gives us hope that happiness and joy are here to stay. It creates the mood for the entire fall color palette! As we fall in love with cinnamon-infused flavors while temps begin to descend, let us also wear the apparel that gives us the warm feeling on the OUTSIDE equally as the one we are feeling within.
