In Style

Gone are the days of gauzy, breezy fabrics with minimal impact…leaving us tons of wide open spaces for the textured looks that fall always brings.

Year after year, the fall season consistently provides us with ample room for materials that give us all-the-feels.  Whether sticking with a single fabric or putting an impressive combo together, let’s chat about some of the favorite trends we have seen in the textile fashion world and how you can integrate them into your seasonal wardrobe rotation.

Let’s start off in a bold + BIG way.  Colorful layering is HUGE for fall 2024.  Adding in a pop of an eye-catching hue mixed with one of equal oomph is a fun and unexpected trend we are so here for.  While some garments already come in a fun combo like our Oncept pullover (which by the way we at HQ are already fighting for), other color combos can be thought up and achieved on your own accord.  A classic + bright crewneck under a great patterned or solid wool coat is a great thought as temps begin to dip!

Leopard takes center stage this season in the pattern play department.  Be it a cozy sweater like the Mylo from John + Jenn or via a satin set, we are loving how designers are integrating this trend and making it their own.  This pattern is great on its own and in conjunction with a grey or beige neutral.  While animal print is often on trend in some capacity, designers all seem to be cashing in on leopard and we love to see the individuality amongst the brands.

Another bold and edgy take for textures for fall is leather.  You name it, and we have a product that has arrived in this biker-esque fabric.  A bold jacket, circle midi skirts, and micro minis have ALL arrived and the time to shop for these trends is NOW.  Pair with a basic for the transitional seasons of October and November and take into the colder months paired with cashmere sweaters and elevated outerwear.

Corduroy is, most-certainly, a high note to end on.  This 70’s-inspired fabric brings a warmth and element of comfort to any outfit you might be putting together this season.  While browns and other rich neutrals seem to be the most prevalent, don’t rule out black or another color on the spectrum.

Let’s get dressed and ready for the season that is ahead of us.  Regardless of where you are going, adding interest to your ensemble has never been easier.  Be it a single garment that accomplishes the goal or the perfect pairing, getting a complete, texturized look is easier this year than ever before.
